It’s raining releases in Bollywood. And while some makers are finally taking a leap of faith and going for a theatrical release, some are still opting for a direct-to-digital option to have a wider section of masses to enjoy their film at home amidst the pandemic. Yet another film has announced its OTT release and its Sardar Ka Grandson.
Sardar Ka Grandson stars Rakul Preet, Arjun Kapoor and Neena Gupta. Arjun and Rakul took to their Instagram accounts to announce the release of their film on Netflix. The actors posted several clicks and captioned it saying, ‘Gather your parents and grandparents for this one, Sardar ka Grandson is coming soon to @netflix_in #SardarKaGrandson.’ In the pictures we see chemistry between Rakul and Arjun, some amazing stills of Neena Gupta as a grandmother and then the easy camaraderie is shown between Arjun and Neena Gupta. The film looks super interesting and we can’t watch this one at our homes.
Sardar Ka Grandson is a story about a grandson who wants to make his grandmother reunite with her lover who was divided during the partition. Neena Gupta and her partners’ younger versions in the film will be played by Aditi Rao Hydari and John Abraham respectively. The ensemble cast that the film has gathered is great and the premise sounds super-fun. This is the first time Rakul Preet and Arjun Kapoor work together in a film.
