“Cinema represents two things: culture and economic prosperity. That is what Gujarat also represents. So we couldn’t have asked for a finer site,” said director Karan Johar, who will host the 69th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2024 in collaboration with Gujarat Tourism on January 27 and 28 this year.
The spectacular event will take place over two consecutive days for the first time in its 69-year existence, amid the backdrop of colorful Gandhinagar.
Gujarat’s awards night will recognize the finest in Indian movies. Karan Johar, a filmmaker and talk show presenter, as well as actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Maniesh Paul, will host the event, which will feature performances by Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and Kartik Aaryan.
