Dharma Productions has been a banner that has always been a dream for aspiring actors, writers and even filmmakers who want to tell a story on the celluloid. The banner might have started off with only rom com films that paint a beautiful and fancy picture of romance and college-life, but the banner has surely come a long way and adapted with the changing times of storytelling as Karan Johar- the boss man at Dharma Productions believes in giving the best to the audience.
Today Karan Johar took to his Instagram to introduce us to 14 new directors that have joined the Dharma family. In the video he gives us a glimpse into his office and the directors, the young directors working to get the best. Directors like Raj Mehta (Good Newzz and Jug Jugg Jeeyo) and Sharan Sharma (Gunjan Saxena – The Kargil Girl) and Kayoze Irani (directing a Netflix original for Dharma) are seen in the video. They are posing for a photoshoot where the team is all smiles and we love the vibe.
Karan Johar through his caption is singing praises about these young minds and gets us curious about their upcoming projects. He says, “Over the last four decades, #DharmaProductions has groomed over 20 directors who have honed their skill set over the years to create magic on the big screen, and now #TeamDharma is all set to usher in a new age of cinema with 14 young and talented storytellers joining the Dharma family. Their modern perspective on cinema will bring in a new era of content, spreading across the mediums. Be it theatrical or digital, our new roster of storytellers are ready for it all.The #DirectorsOfDharma have many stories brewing in their kitchen, and I can’t wait to see what they bring to the table. Stay tuned!”
