Prominent figures from the Hindi film industry, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Akshay Kumar, turned out on Monday to cast their ballots in the Lok Sabha elections’ fifth round. Thirteen Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, including six in Mumbai, have been polling since 7 a.m.
In the Juhu neighborhood of Mumbai, Amitabh Bachchan, 81, and his wife Jaya, 76, went to the polls to cast their ballots. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the daughter-in-law, was also spotted at a voting station. She recently returned from her vacation to the Cannes Film Festival and is currently recovering from a hand injury.
