Ranbir Kapoor is all set to return to the big screen this year with not one but two films – Shamshera and Brahmastra. While Shamshera which also features Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt arrives in a matter of days, Brahmastra will see him share screen space with actress-wife Alia Bhatt for the first time. As all eyes are on Ranbir, the actor has opened up about his take on the ongoing “pan-India films” discussion. And he thinks the term will fade soon.
As per reports on a leading news portal, Ranbir shared his thoughts on pan-India films saying, “I think every film is pan-India film. The story of the film, if people like it and is watched by many, then it is known as a pan-India film.”
He added, “When a director is making a film, he is trying to reach out to as many people as he can. If your film is strong and the story is strong, then it won’t be only a pan-India film, it will be a pan-world film.”
He also said that the term would “fade” just like “the 100 crore club”.
Shamshera sees Ranbir Kapoor play a dacoit warrior. The film’s second track Fitoor is out now and it offers a closer look at its romantic arc. The period drama is set to release on July 22.
