Burberry burns its unsold clothes rather than selling them on the “grey market”. In fact, the label burnt Pounds 28 million (Rs 2,50,90,80,000) worth of clothes last year.The label has reportedly burnt Pounds 90 million (Rs 8,06,49,00,000) worth of clothes over the last five years.Burberry reportedly destroys unsold stock to prevent it from falling into “wrong hands” and be sold at knockdown prices, reported The Times. The label claims to work with special incinerators that are able to harness energy from the process.
