The day 1 of the winter 2018 edition of the Lakme Fashion Week managed to set the entire event on an electric and vibrant mode. Apart from a host of festive and winter-centric lines, the day also saw presentations which included not only crucial conversation on the clothes, but also the craft, structure and identity.
Edwardian collars, layered skirts, cropped tops, cold shoulders and one-sleeved shirts were donned by both men and women. These attires were included in the collection of the designer Sohaya Misra. Through her collection she wanted to bid goodbye to the restrictive and irrelevant things. She names her collection ‘Bye Felicia’. She broke the stereotypes by making the men wear red lip shades and the women having moustaches.
Prateik Babbar closed the show with makeup artist Jason Arland dressed as his bride wearing the Roma Narsinghani’s body jewellery . All in all, Mishra broke the stereotypes in perfect style.
