As part of a 134-run opening stand with Quinton de Kock, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper KL Rahul struck 82 runs in 53 balls, helping them defeat Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by eight wickets. LSG achieved their fourth victory of the season after chasing down a target of 177 with one over remaining.
Earlier, LSG shut down CSK’s hitters for a large portion of the innings, but a late surge led once more by MS Dhoni enabled the reigning champions to surpass 170-run barrier. Dhoni led CSK to a total of 176/6 while remaining undefeated with 28 runs in only nine deliveries. With 57 off 40, Ravindra Jadeja was on the opposite end.
